With the passage of this strong front, I headed to Cayuga Lake today around noon and watched from East Shore Park and then Stewart Park. Not much to report, actually -- the only possibly new arrivals were a flock of 7 male RUDDY DUCKS off the east side of Stewart Park. Still 30+ PIED-BILLED GREBES scattered about, but they've been there for awhile. Although no longer an unusual bird around here, it was nice to see a minimum of 4 (and possibly 6) BALD EAGLES flying around, including two adults in a dog-fight above the west side of the lake, an immature carrying a fish over the jetties, and several more single adults and immatures that may have been the same or different birds.
