Hi Meena,

Great finds! Two of your mushrooms (pages 2 and 13) are actually not fungi,
but are saprophytic, nonphotosynthetic flowering plants. Probably Indian
pipe,  Monotropa uniflora.

[cayugabirds-l] Bats

I started my occasional nighthawk survey from my house this evening.  None
of those yet, but a scan with the scope revealed 11 BATS!  This is far more
than I usually see here, and is an encouraging sign.

[cayugabirds-l] Link to Mushrooms of Park preseve and surroundings

Hi all,

 Here is a link to mushrooms I photographed yesterday at Park Preserve and it 
adjacent locations. Light was too low so had to use the flash and my camera is 
doing something strange or I don't know how to use the camera with TTL flash.

But still you can see the verities and colors etc. I have not had the time to 
identify them.  I hope to go when the light is better or after I learn how to 
use my camera with flash!
