Hi all, there are currently at least thirty two WILSON'S SNIPE in a muddy
drainage stream behind the long red barn (south side) at the parking area
for Bluegrass Lane. The birds are only about a hundred feet away from the
road and the light is great for photography at this angle.

Hi,
On my way home from work, at 5:30 PM, an injured mature (and
gorgeous) red-tailed hawk was in a field just south of Interlaken. It
was able to jump and flap for very short distances - maybe 3' in lift
and 10' in distance - and was progressing through a series of flap/hops,
but
Hi Alicia,
If you go back to that area, tell me the hawk is still there and wait for me to
arrive, I will come. Otherwise, it's a long drive for what is likely to be a
wild goose chase.

If someone lost their scope lens cap in Stewart Park email me off list and I'll
get it back to you. Looks brand new.

On this glorious day we took a drive hoping to see flocks of Snow Geese on the
shallow waters at this
northern point of Cayuga Lake. Much to my surprise, the lake was still quite
frozen and the only waterfowl were small groups of Red heads and Canvas Backs
on the small areas of open water.

We made a quick trip up the east side of the lake today. With more ice having
melted, the birds are further out than they were a week ago. From Harris Park,
we saw a few ducks including numerous BUFFLEHEAD and a pair of GOLDENEYE. We
also saw an EAGLE perched in a tree on the near shore. In the
Between 5:00 and 6:00, I saw flight after flight of Snow Geese. I'm half way
between Skaneateles and Auburn. They were mostly going east toward
Skaneateles. They seemed to taking off from farm fields near me.

Hi everyone,
By the time Rose and I made contact today, it was too late in the
day for me to get back to Interlaken and confirm the bird was still
visible and for her then to make the trip arrive before sunset. I
will look again tomorrow morning and see if I can find it on my way to
