Hi all,
Yesterday afternoon after the rain stopped, I took a long walk up Hunt Hill
Rd. and down Hurd Rd. (town of Dryden, east of Ithaca). There were a surprising
number of groups of birds around. The first group, along Hunt Hill Rd.,
consisted of a number of ruby-crowned kinglets,
Two AMERICAN AVOCETS are feeding in the back of Puddlers Marsh, seen from
Towpath Road, Montezuma NWR. Also present Black-bellied Plover,
White-rumped Sandpiper, Stilt Sandpiper, Pectoral Sandpiper, and Dunlin.

Hi all,
We took a trip up the lake from Ithaca today to Montezuma. There were more
ducks then I thought there would be along the wildlife drive, and we were lucky
enough to see the two American avocets at Knox-Marcellus marsh. Here is what
we saw:
