It is not just Stewart Park that is within the City limits. Looking at 2 on
the County map at http://geo.tompkins-co.org/html/?viewer=tcpropmo you can see
that both jetties and Hog Hole are all within the City hence, I would assume,
are covered by the City ordinance prohibiting hunting.
Does the Ithaca Police Dept have a police boat? That seems like it would be
essential equipment for enforcing the firearms ban in the portion of Stewart
Park that extends 2,000' north over the water.
