While we have often seen SNOW BUNTINGS from the yard, this morning we had one
we could see from the kitchen window near the patio. It stuck around to pick
the droppings from under the feeders. This a first of year for us and a new
yard bird. Quite a pretty little bird.

Going through my photos of Cooper's hawks and Sharp-shinned Hawks I
can't decide which is which. If anyone would like to try and help me
sort this out please let me know and I will send you copies of the Hawks.

Yesterday around 1.30 PM I took a spin around to look for Redpolls at
Triphammer Terrace and Hillcrest Road in Lansing. I did not see any redpolls. I
did not dare to watch the surrounding neighborhoods as it seemed like I would
be staring into their houses.
So I decided to go look
Here is today's bird list from home, it was a good day to be inside looking out.
We have been having 1-3 white crowned sparrows, almost daily.
We regularly hear Carolina wren's, but today one showed up at the feeders.
Still no redpolls or siskins!
