[cayugabirds-l] No Hummingbirds?!
For the past 24 hours we have not seen a single hummer at either of the two feeders, both of which have been being emptied within 48 hours. I even went out to 'taste' the brew in one of them to make sure I really HAD sweetened the water! [cayugabirds-l] 3rd round
The Robin's nest under our deck has 2 eggs of a third clutch for this year. I assume it is the same pair. No noticeable alteration or refurbishing of the nest. Cool! Re: [cayugabirds-l] No Hummingbirds?!
My hummingbirds are still here on Lansing Station Road. My Trumpet Vine just bloomed so perhaps they are visiting those more than the feeder. [cayugabirds-l] Pine Siskin
This afternoon we had a PINE SISKIN show up at one of our feeders, competing with the goldfinches. Is it unusual to have that species here at this time? Larry -- W. Re: [cayugabirds-l] No Hummingbirds?!
Well, I didn't think much of it as I don't put a hummingbird feeder at my house, but I keep my neighbor's filled and she has mentioned not seeing any for a few days.
