Our foy BROWN THRASHER showed up at 5:45pm. It was rooting in the layer
of mulch along our garden fence line.
For those curious about the PIGEON that had been in our yard for the
past couple of days, I finally caught the bird and took it to the Janet
Swanson (Cornell) Wildlife Rehab. Center
Out in the yard pretending to garden, I looked up in response to the call of a
Broad-winged Hawk, and saw what I always do at about this time in April. A nice
Broad-wing, fairly low, making what I interpret as a territorial flight. After

Was wondering where these lucky folks were birding? No Parula's are
showing up in eBird in NYS except for a posting from Sullivan County,
haven't seen anything posted to this list, either. An eBird listing
might require moderator approval but would hope that was happening
quickly this time
