In addition to some excellent botanic sightings yesterday at McIlroy, we
had some spectacular views from the wetland viewing deck of a great egret
swooping and looping over the water, roosting in a tree, and patrolling the
water's edge. Apologies for the late posting.

I have been in south NJ past couple days for the annual spring shorebird
migration and I had a conversation with one of the folks who works with the
Red Knots and other shorebirds. He told me that the preliminary numbers
from last night's aerial survey is 30,000 Red Knots which is way above the

Meg and I are headed back to Arizona and were wondering if anyone had
any contacts in the Flagstaff Grand Canyon area?
