Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)

     3/9: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen on East Road.

     3/10: An EURASIAN WIGEON was seen at the Morgan Road marsh It was seen 
through 3/12.

     311: A SORA was heard along the Wildlife Drive. A YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER 
was found at VanDyne Spoor road.

     3/15: An EURASIAN WIGEON was found at the Headquarters Pond of Howland 
Island. 2 SANDHILL CRANES were seen of Purser Road of the Northern Complex. A 
possible BLACK-LEGGED KITTYWAKE was seen in flight grom East Road.

     3/16: A RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET and a TREE SPARROW were seen on Towpath Road.







Cayuga County

     3/10: A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER continues near the cabins at Fair Haven 
State Park.







Onondaga County

------------




     3/9: A RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET was seen on the Butternut Creek Trail in 
Fayetteville.An EURASIAN WIGEON was seen on the West Shore Trail of Onondaga 
Lake.

     3/10: A SNOWY OWL was seen at Hancock Airport in Syracuse.

     3/13: A CACKLING GOOSE wa seen from Mercer Park on the Seneca River in 
Baldwinsville.

     3/14: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen at Green Lakes State Park. A LESSER 
BLACK-BACKED GULL was see on Skaneatekes Lake from the village.

     394 Raptors WERE COUNTED AT DERBY HILL THIS WEEK.

     3/9: 1 GOLDEN EAGLE

     3/12: 2 GOLDEN EAGLES, 2 CACKLING GEESE, 1 TREE SWALLOW. 

     3/14: Seasons first NORTHERN GOSHAWK, ROSS’S GOOSE, 6 SANDHILL CRANES, 1 
GLAUCOUS GULL.

     3/15: 1 GOLDEN EAGLE.







Oswego County

------------

 

     The LARK SPARROW continues on Hinman Road north of Pulaski. Today was day 
70. 

     3/10: 3 EASTERN MEADOWLARKS were seen on Chesbro Road in Pennelville.







Madison County

------------




     3/10: A ROSS’S GOOSE AND a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL were seen on Ditchbank 
Road north of Canastota.

     3/15: An ICELAND GULL was found on Ditchbank Road.







Oneida county

------------




     3/12: A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen along Rt. 31 west of Verona.

     3/14: A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER continues at Verona Beach State Park on 
Oneida Lake.







Herkimer county

------------




     3/10: The GOLDEN CROWNED SPARROW was again seen at a feeder at the 
intersection of Albany Road and Soncody Road but could nor be relocated on 
ensuing days.

     3/11: A GOLDEN EAGLE was seen near McKoons Road Pond north of Richfield 
Springs.

     3/13: A NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL was heard near Moss Lake north of Eagle Bay.
