[cayugabirds-l] Savannah Sparrows

2024-01-09 Thread Ken Haas
While I was traveling the back roads near my place in Mecklenberg, Schuyler
county, I found 3 Savannah Sparrows foraging along the roadside on Williamee
Rd. and Rt. 79. An eBird was filled out and I included a few photos of the
trio. On other roads in the area I found Horned Larks and Snow Buntings. I know
I am outside of the Ithaca CBC count area, but thought you should know.

[cayugabirds-l] help- Cayuga Lake NYSOA Waterfowl Count

2024-01-09 Thread Joshua Snodgrass
Hi friends,
I am looking for an experienced birder/birders to assist with this year's
NYSOA waterfowl count on Cayuga Lake this Sunday (1/14). One of our regular
counting parties is unable to make it this year. If you have strong
waterfowl ID skills, the ability to count rafts of ducks and geese,
transportation, and don't mind standing on the shore in January weather,
please reach out to me off list to cover a section of Cayuga Lake this
Sunday morning. I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks so much,
Josh Snodgrass
