A male Baltimore Oriole landed on my hammock today, a bit north of Hog Hole.

I have noticed a dramatic drop in the squirrel population and feeder birds SW
shore Cayuga Lake in the past two months. I like to photograph squirrels so I
noticed. Saw one lactating female about two weeks ago, and that's it. Up until
a couple months ago I also had flying squirrels visiting

Here is a non-political early-morning photograph taken from the densely
populated southwest shore of Cayuga Lake 24 October 2015 showing rowers heading
out from the inlet in a northwest direction past my house for their usual
morning practice. The occupants in the boat to the right had set up
