Kevin just called to say he just had a juvenile LAUGHING GULL at the Cornell
Compost facility near the Game Farm on Stevenson Road. It was flying with
Ring-billed Gulls, but he has not relocated it after all the gulls took
flight. I will post if I find it in a few minutes.

mudflats were
fairly exposed on Friday are now covered, leaving very little suitable
shore. Fifteen dowitchers (apparently 14 Short-billed and one Long-billed)
were foraging in the deep water, but otherwise it was pretty dead.

in Northeast Ithaca, I've been hearing a decent number of warblers and
sparrows migrating overhead. No thrushes yet, but there seems to be some
movement. A juvenile BARRED OWL was screeching from the Ithaca side of
Sapsucker Woods Road near the trailhead when we passed a few minutes ago.

David Wheeler informs me that there are two WILSON'S PHALAROPES at the
Visitor Center pool at Montezuma NWR this afternoon. Based on reports from
others, at least one of them was also there Friday evening.
Good birding,
