A broad-winged hawk just flew low over our house on Hunt Hill Rd, Dryden.
BWHawks have nested for years on Hunt Hill. We also had our FOY towhee and tree

of Van Dyne Spoor Rd were three SANDHILL CRANES, feeding quietly as people in
passing cars stopped to look. Carncross was pretty empty (one more TRUMPETER
SWAN).

Hi all,
There have been 3 siskins at our feeder over the last three days, along with a
few purple finches and loads of goldfinches. Last night we heard barred owl
calling from the woods and today we had 2 wood ducks on the pond. Where are
the phoebes?

There are two pine siskins at the feeders on Hunt Hill Rd., Dryden this
morning. The purple finch flock was up to 20 yesterday. A few around today, but

I just spoke to a person at the Town of Caroline highway department and learned

At least one Pine Warbler at Comstock Knoll in the Cornell Plantations today.
That is the hill behind the main building, the one with the huge white pines.
There have been breeding Pine Warblers in these trees for many years.

This morning (Wed) I counted a 25 Siskins at our feeders, although there may be
many more. They are skitish and fly up alot so it's hard to get an accurate
count. Also many Goldfinches and a few Purple finches. Three Fox sparrows
continue to hang out as well.

In addition to the birds Kevin has mentioned along the roadside in Dryden,
there are many fox sparrow and Song sparrows. I just drive up Hunt hill Road
and counted 15 Fox sparrows along the road.

This morning there are blackbird flocks going north over Hunt Hill Rd, Dryden.
Usually not seen until mid March. So far about 60 birds in 2 flocks. Mostly red
winged blackbirds.

Hi,
I checked out the Cornell game farm on Stevenson and game farm roads this
afternoon at 3 PM. I easily counted 62 Redtailed Hawks on the fences and in the
trees. In the main big tree there were 22 hawks alone. Also loads of Starlings,
eating the grain.
