I agree that contacting the Finger Lakes Land Trust could be beneficial. They

There is an immature bald eagle on a neighbors beach near the yacht club. (4:45
PM) The bird has reportedly been there for an hour and is unable to fly. Who
would be appropriate to contact/evaluate? Thanks, Bob Horn 273 5690

Re: [cayugabirds-l] a passle of snow buntings-Hanshaw Rd

2013-12-31 Thread Robert Horn
Saw a similar flock on Waterwagon road at 4:00 PM. Bob Horn

At about 1300 today 31 Dec 13, there was a flighty, flickering flock of
200-250 snow buntings working back and forth on the S side of Hanshaw road,
near the closest woods line, a short distance East of the SPCA. Absolutely
beautiful--cannot imagine picking out one and keeping my eye on it.

They were distant and only sometimes landed where could be scoped, but I
looked enough and took sufficient pictures to satisfy myself that there were
 no larks among them.

 Hi Folks,

Sorry for this non-bird posting. I have a student who would like a
particular job for which it would be helpful to have some experience and
demonstrated skill with observing color-banded birds. The student has my
very high recommendation and could work odd and moderately lengthy
hours. Anyone need help for say, ~5-10 hours a week for a month or so?
 Please call numbers below.
