[cayugabirds-l] Downtown Merlins and FOY Birds

2019-05-02 Thread Robin Tuttle
We had FOY Eastern Towhee and Brown Thrasher in our yard in Enfield this
morning.

Yesterday, I was treated to the sight and sound of a pair of Merlins
acrobatically flying above the Lifelong back parking lot (on Buffalo between
Geneva and Cayuga Sts).

[cayugabirds-l] Purple Finches

2020-06-03 Thread Robin Tuttle
Hi all,

We had a trio of purple finches visit our feeders yesterday, two females and a
male. We still have a beautiful Brown Thrasher coming to the ground under our
feeders every day too. So nice to see this lively bird close up.

I also had Black Billed Cuckoo yesterday early evening, a new yard bird for me
in Enfield. Calling and sitting still for about half an hour.
