[cayugabirds-l] New Yard Birds (Etna Rd)
This morning I had a handful of new warblers for the yard including a couple of Tennessee Warblers, a Orange-crowned Warbler, and a couple Chestnut-sided Warblers. Had the resident breeding Yellows, Blue-winged, Ovenbird, and Yellowthroats singing on territory. Also added a couple of Wood Duck flyovers yesterday afternoon and a Green Heron flyover this morning. I'm located just west of Hanshaw on Etna Rd. Re: [cayugabirds-l] White-faced Ibis, Stewart Park
I just checked for the Ibises and they were not present at 4:45 however there was a Common Moorhen visible in some of the flooded vegetation on the golf course side as viewed from Stewart Park. [cayugabirds-l] Swan Pen, Stewart Park
Just finished walking around the swan pen at Stewart Park. Only new arrival I found was a GREY CATBIRD. Other than that, it was YELLOW, YELLOW-RUMPED, and PALM WARBLERS. Re: [cayugabirds-l] Sapsucker Woods, Tues 4/26
I don't have much to add to Mark's list but I had at least 3-4 Ovenbirds and several Hermit Thrushes. I can also add my FOY Great-crested Flycatcher but I can't remember the name of the trail (between Wilson Trail and Sapsucker Woods Road). Re: [cayugabirds-l] Sapsucker Woods, Wed 4/20
I just finished a quick walk around the pond and had a small flock of songbirds including 4-5 Yellow-rumped Warblers, a lone male Black-throated Green Warbler, a Blue-headed Vireo, and a Ruby-crowned Kinglet. A pair of noisy Belted Kingfishers were constantly flying around as well as the usual suspects already mentioned. Re: [cayugabirds-l] Evening Grosbeaks- Richford
I had two females at my feeders on Etna road in Ithaca this morning as well. We had 8+ Pine Siskins about a week ago but haven't seen them since. We also have had 4 Fox Sparrows that are feeding on the ground under the feeders for the last 3 or 4 days. I can barely keep the feeders full!
