I have been having the same experience...downtown feeders on the street, 
usually populated with House Sparrows and not much else  the birds are 
HUGEBlue Jays, Starlings, a Robin, fighting for seed.

tall fir in back of first few houses in 300 block of Center, south side, and 
several tall firs in back of Significant Elements, north side.

Saw many in a field on right going north on Rt. 89past Sheldrake.  
They flew west, not far. 

Gorgeous pattern of bright whites and dark wing tips against an ominous

I went up on Jan. 2, mid-AM to mid- PM.  No snowy.  However, he lives on 
Bostwick Rd. someplace.   The owner of the house where he hangs out works at 
one of the stores.
