We have a tanish striped white throated sparrow under our feeders today. We’ve
had a few pine siskins mixed in with our large goldfinch flock this past week,
one or two song sparrows, and today up to 5 cardinals.

Hi all. I’ve been keeping my birding life list on a 1990 checklist of North
American birds published by the Tucson Audubon. It’s a bit out of date. I’ve
tried the E-bird format for life lists but I find it not particularly suited
for that function. Any suggestions? Thanks for any suggestions
I’m in the market for a new spotting scope. I was trying to find the most
recent review in all about birds. Any suggestions? Price range 1000$ or less.
Thanks

I agree wholeheartedly. It’s a lot of fun and a great way to find birds whose
songs I’m not familiar with. I was out in Arizona last week and the sound ID
helped me find birds I had never seen before.
Question to the group. If Merlin picks up a bird that is a life list bird and
you don’t
I have great respect for Bard and Gina. Really wonderful people. Bard was
inspirational in overcoming limitations with no complaints, just making his own
“adjustments “. Always upbeat Bird hard Bard I won’t forget.

I have been thinking I need a new up to date check list of north american birds
to back up and modernize my 1990 Tucson Audubon Society check list of North
American Birds. Can anyone recommend a digital as well as written check list
for North American birds?
Much appreciated,

I had a mature bald eagle fly over our yard on Turkey hill about an hour ago
heading northwest, in the general direction of the compost piles on Stevenson.
There has been a flock of turkeys along Ellis hollow creek road not far from
Turkey hill road 2 out of the last 3 mornings.

There is a white throated sparrow under my sunflower seed feeder right now
at forest home drive. I had a brief look at it earlier but wasn't sure if
it was white throated or white crowned so I took a look in Sibley's to see
what would be more likely this time of year here. This time I can
