Well we have our first two baby bluebirds…3 eggs haven’t hatched yet. Last year this pair hatched eggs on 5/6/2010. The nest is dry and clean even with this windy and rainy spring…the ¼ inch mesh on which the nest sits is about 4 inches off the bottom. We regularly fed this pair mealworms

We have a pair of Red-tailed Hawks that have been around for several years. I have seen one carrying a grouse, rabbit, mice, and even have a great picture of one of them snatching a wounded starling off the snow.but yesterday one few by with a crow in its talons with 20 plus crows in hot pursuit.

We built a Kestrel house and a Screech Owl house and put them out last spring.with no takers.now they are occupied by squirrels. Our question is.will a Kestrel or Screech Owl dislodge a squirrel from a prospective nesting sight? Or are we going to have to build more nest boxes? Thanks.
