From Wheeler Hill, Steuben County

For the first time since January 18 we have not had to refill our two
Niger seed tube feeders.

Here on Wheeler Hill, Steuben County, we've had 100 plus Redpolls daily
since January 18. Still here, still devouring niger seed.

Re: [cayugabirds-l] Redpolls

2013-03-29 Thread Michael Czarnecki
Yes, I keep wishing they would leave. We've had 100 - 200 of them here
since mid-January!

Wheeler, NY - Steuben County.

Makes me think of Frost's poem:

A Minor Bird

I have wished a bird would fly away,
And not sing by my house all day;

Have clapped my hands at him from the door
When it seemed as if I could bear no more.

The fault must partly have been in me.
The bird was not to blame for his key.

And of course there must be something wrong
In wanting to silence any song.

They are still here eating hulled sunflower seeds and Niger seed. They are
expensive to have around!
