Hi all, Here’s another take on “bird time” from my lab: https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/observations/a-birds-eye-view-of-communication/ The idea that animals perceive and think about the world very differently than humans do is important for understanding them. We tend to gloss over these differences when thinking about animals, but anthropomorphism is a double-edged sword. A photograph might help us feel empathy for another species, but we also tend to ascribe human feelings and motivations to them, with sometimes disastrous results.
