Thanks to Jay for getting the word out. Alexa and I first saw it while headed to the car after a chilly walk around Hog Hole (not too much on the lake that we could see). The egret was sitting on the marina docks with a group of gulls, often looking cold but also flying in short circles around

Around 11:30 a.m.Dave and I saw the Cattle Egret Marty spotted yesterday near Romulus. It gave us great views next to the road with 20 plus cows. The cows seemed to harass it a bit. It then flew to the west side of the road over some trees. An hour plus later one was reported at Treman Marina.

Driving on Rt. 96 near Romulus about 10:30am this morning I saw what I suspected to be a Cattle Egret in a field with some dairy cows. I didn't have my binos with me to check it out. About 1pm today, Mary Jean and our granddaughter Emma and I went back and confirmed it to be a Cattle Egret.

The cattle egret was still there when I left Benning Marsh at 10:00. It was by the thruway when I arrived, but flew toward me and was much closer, but quickly flew to the grassy area to the left. I often had to wait for the dust clouds to settle to get a decent view. Those trucks fly through
