Just heard a Common Nighthawk buzzing over the woods south of my house in
Commonland, over Six-Mile Creek, offering only a brief unbinoculared look
at a small dot moving across the cloudy sky.

Here's a video I took yesterday (Wednesday) during lunch at Sherwood

It shifted positions several times, and each time it did so it would sway
back and forth,
Sitting in the back yard of a friend's house in northern Fall Creek (a few

appeared in view from Vet School side and circled over and flew away east of
the building.
Yesterday while I was walking EIRW near Maple Wood Apartments, I saw a Ronin

I had just got home from work (2015), and thought to step out front for a
last peek at the sky. As I reached the edge of the driveway, a COMMON
NIGHTHAWK tilted over, not 10' up. The wife was standing on the porch and I
shouted look! She went Wha? I said nighthawk. She responded with

While driving along route 34 in Cayuga County, I spotted a COMMON
NIGHTHAWK about a mile north of Scipio Center. The time was
approximately 5:30 pm. I think that area drains westward to Great
Gully, or maybe southward to Big Salmon Creek...
