Hi all
What a beautiful day to go birding! There is a large, spread out raft of
redheads just off the Village Park parking lot in the center of Aurora. At
least 1000 birds. There is no wind and the lake is calm making for great
viewing. Also lots of goldeneye a bit further to the south along
About 1000 REDHEADS off 535 area Lansing Station Rd, east side of lake. Now.
1 large + 1 smaller raft.
No Tufted duck seen.
1 Amer. Widgeon male in w/ Redheads.
7 male, 4 female Red-breasted Mergansers off by themselves.
6 Black Ducks & 2 Mallards pr.

The Redheads, reported earlier, continue on the 1st Thruway Pool of the Auto
Loop.
Chicks are surprisingly independent, when compared to the other water birds
seen this Spring, and the hen had to keep up with them.
