[cayugabirds-l] WHITE-EYED VIREO at Sapsucker Woods

2014-04-20 Thread Dave Nutter
Ken Rosenberg just (8am Sunday) reported that the WHITE-EYED VIREO is
continuing at the Sherwood Platform, which is on the west side of the main
pond, on the Wilson Trail at Sapsucker Woods. It was first found late Thursday
afternoon by Garrett MacDonald in that vicinity and seen by only a couple other
people, and not reported at all on Friday, so far as I know. Yesterday
(Saturday) afternoon I re-found it/one there and sent out a rare-bird-alert,
which enabled several other people to see the bird, although generally the bird
was skulking in the thick bushes and providing only crummy-but-identifiable
views. As Kevin noted, the original find did not get onto CayugaBirds-L
promptly, and I apologize that I did not report to this listserve yesterday
either. It is now difficult for me to do so from my phone, and I was late and
distracted when I got home.
