Much to my surprise, an immature Bald Eagle just flew toward my home on
Rumsey Road, Trumansburg, from the east and flew very low over the field
across the road for several minutes. An adult Red-tailed Hawk harassed the
eagle until the eagle landed on the ground. The hawk then perched in a

A gentleman called me late Thursday afternoon saying he had found a very large
bird along the east shore of Cayuga Lake while out boating. His description
certainly sounded like an immature bald eagle so we met at the marina and went
by boat about a mile up the shoreline. Sure enough there
Tuesday, June 29 I watched from my yard on Wyers Point Road, an immature Bald
Eagle. It flew back and forth along the shoreline of Cayuga Lake. It wanted to
land but had to circle around and around as a crow and several smaller birds
