[cayugabirds-l] Am White Pelican still at Knox Marsellus 23 Aug
Yesterday, August 23rd, the American White Pelican was still at Knox Marsellus Marsh. I was fortunate to run into Mike Tetlow who was scouting for a trip he is leading today and he put his scope right on the bird for me. Very grateful to Mike, for I doubt I would have picked it out while resting. Standing, it's very obvious and impressive. A life bird for me. [cayugabirds-l] Am White Pelican
Just passing on - an American White Pelican has been at Knox-Marselus (Montezuma) all afternoon. Best viewed from East Rd near the middle of the marsh in a few clumps of brush (to the left of the large group of cattails/brush). Also Black Terns all over Tschache, May’s Point, K-M pools. Sandhill Cranes (2 on Main Pool, 2 at K-M).
