...an hour later, and it's now as dark as it's going to get under this nearly-full moon. Barred Owls are talking, as they regularly do here year-around, but tonight spring peepers are singing too, as I imagine they're doing all over the basin. My yard Woodcock is still displaying, thanks to the brightness of the moonlight, I guess. I can't remember another year when I had Woodcock right near my house for more than a night or two.
