All,

There is a very nice warm up occurring in the northeast US through
Thursday...BUT the strongest low-level winds remain west. It is possible
that the bulk of our later migrant boreal breeding warblers and other
songbirds migrate west of us during this warm up leading to reduced numbers
in our area. In fact, it is possible they overfly the areas in the Great
Lakes as these strong southwest winds propel them right to their boreal
habitats in Canada. See image of the winds at around 5000 feet above ground
level as projected for Thursday morning. <goog_1347438671>
http://bitly.ws/dqZ4 I posted it from my facebook account so you need to
be logged into facebook to see it. ( I ought to get my own website or blog
for this). Also https://birdcast.info/ is picking up on this as well.

Best,
Dave Nicosia
