[cayugabirds-l] Birdy day
Snowy weather has brought lots of birds to my feeding areas here in Lansing. Plus I heard a Loon on lake. So far I have seen 16 pine siskins FOY here !, a red-breasted nut hatch, a beautiful fox sparrow, 20 mourning doves, 6 dark-eyed juncos, a Carolina Wren, 4 cardinals, lotsa blue jays, & several other usual feeder birds! Is eBird still “closed”? [cayugabirds-l] Birdy day
Among lots of other nice birds this sunny PM, I saw the Oregon dark-eyed junco (!) at Fritzie Blizzard’s in Union Springs and over 80 red-breasted mergansers on Cayuga Lake on the way there. Also 2 mature bald eagles flying away from the big eagle nest south side of Aurora. [cayugabirds-l] Birdy Day
I'm having quite a birdy day. On the way home from work I saw a Bald Eagle flying over Fall Creek in Etna. Got out of the car at home heard something scratching around and found a Ruffed Grouse stalking around in the woods a few feet behind the bird feeder. I was just outside and there are at least 2 and possibly 3 Woodcocks dancing in close proximity to the house. Spring has definitely sprung.
