About an hour ago (10 to 10:30) a mixed flock of blackbirds assaulted our feeders. Total of about 20 birds about equally divided among Redwings, Common Grackles, and Cowbirds. All appeared to be males. That was followed closely by 2 Pine Siskins on the niger tube, the first here all winter. Almost all the usual birds were here, in contrast to yesterday which was extremely quiet.
