Hi all,
thought some of you might be interested that SNOWY OWLS are still being
seen in the Basin. Garrett MacDonald and Rose Swift reported the continuing
bird on Indian Field Road north of Rt. 90 in Genoa yesterday evening, on
the "north side of northernmost milking barn." Today, Chris Wood has
reported to eBird one owl on the ice off of Frontenac Park in Union Springs
and another at Rt. 90 and Great Gully Road just a bit south of Union
Springs. In addition to Ann's Wood Duck, Tim Lenz reports one on the lake
from the Towpath Machine Shop in Cayuga.

Here in Tompkins County, Livia and I drove a broad loop from Freese Road to
Stevenson Road to Boiceville Road to Midline Road, Irish Settlement Road,
Park Preserve, Ferguson Road, Dryden Lake, Cornell Lane, Southworth Road,
and George Road. Net result: lots of crows and basically nothing else.
Windy and desolate.
