RE:[cayugabirds-l] Chat in FLNF
We tried to re-locate the reported Chat in the National Forest today with no luck. That area isn't Chat habitat so it must have been moving through. We haven't had a documented Chat in Schuyler County in many years and it is carried as a historical sighting on the county list. I believe the 80-85 Atlas had a few reports from the county but not sure of the degree of confidence. I remember there was a Chat at Art Kopp's place (Town of Reading, Schuyler County) once.
