Our first Chipping Sparrow showed up at the feeders this afternoon. It was scratching around under the sunflower seed feeder. Not long after, a Sharpshinned Hawk cruised thru the yard but made no attacks that I could see. This a.m. a Flicker flew away as I drove past the barns. In other news, things in bloom include Lenten Rose, Scylla, and one daffodil that may pop at any moment. Snowdrops and croci are on the way out, having served their purpose of announcing the arrival of fine weather. A few minutes ago, the fine weather blew hard thru here with a big dump of rain. So it goes.
