A few weeks ago, we had two hulking baby cowbirds relentlessly pursuing a distraught little Junco all over our yard. The Junco was frantically trying to find food for the "babies" and at the same time trying to escape. This went on for several days before the cowbirds began to find their own food. "Never more!" quoth the Junco.
