It is being dredged supposedly to prevent flooding of Myers Park and nearby
houses. I do not believe work like this actually works to prevent ice pile-up
and subsequent flooding, but nobody listened to me (& the two others on the
Friends of salt point committee that were against
Any word on why Salmon Creek is being dredged? Are there plans for boating in
the creek? Are there houses at risk of flooding? I wonder how this will affect
marsh and gravel bar habitat.

Hi again,
I just received this update from Katrina Binkewicz- Lansing Town Board. It
sounds like the meadow eventually will be improved after the dredging in Salmon
Creek is complete. I am relieved.
