Re Jay's post: Despite the sparrows being around for a couple of weeks,
it's still very exciting for us stay-at-home birders to have them
returning to our feeders. As Jay suggested, the recent snowfall may
have forced them to seek out other food sources, e.g., feeders.
However, in my particular case I like to think that word quickly got out
among our avian friends that that nice Mr. Hymes had just liberally
sprinkled white millet seed in his yard for the first time!
