Just made a run over to Montezuma today (didn't do the auto route), the visitor
center pool was full of C. Geese, assorted ducks, and a Godwit (Hudsonian,
non-breeding?). Also hiked Esker Brook/South Spring Pool trail and found a lot
of robins, (hermit) thrush, several rusty blackbirds, YR warblers, lots of
white-throated sparrows, field sparrows, flickers, downy, red-bellied
woodpeckers, cedar waxwings, and a few yellowlegs (both lesser & greater).
Knox-Marsellus was also full of geese & ducks (including several groups of snow
geese). I saw 4 or 5 Sandhill Cranes but Jackie and LaRue were a little behind
me and counted 9 on their survey (all near East Rd).
