I was just out walking the dogs in the neighborhood and heard “our” Great
Crested Flycatcher. Nice to have him back.

Finally, I am getting to see my vocal great crested flycatcher in my yard!
He nicely landed on the very top of a spruce branch where I could see his
pretty colors quite well and listen to his ‘reap’ song followed by a quiet
little ‘burple’ sound.

Just had our foy GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHER calling lustily from a
neighbor's tree. Also, PURPLE FINCHES are back singing their
beautiful, rapid-paced song.

Sounds like I've got a family group of Great Crested Flycatchers down in the
orchard. They used to nest in the dead apple tree hollows. Maybe I just missed
their nest this year. Anyway, great to have their cheery voices!

I just had a Great crested flycatcher land on the top of my bird feeder, stayed
for app. a minute
and droped to the ground. I did not see him fly away, but he was gone when I
tried to sneek out and
get a picture. I'm in the village of Newfield and was very suprised to see it.

This morning as I searched in vain in bushes across my road for a calling, but
hidden warbler, I spotted a Great Crested Flycatcher with his brilliant yellow
breast shining in the early sun, on a top-most bare branch-- he was calling
Wheap!
