For a morning update - the godwit is still present at the Montezuma NWR visitor center as of 7:24, reported by Gary Kohlenberg. Last night a Wilson's Phalarope dropped in next to the godwit briefly before both birds took off. It sounds like at least the godwit came back; perhaps the phalarope is also still in the area.
