Shirley and I stopped by Marty Schlabach's place in Interlaken about noon today in hopes of seeing the rufous hummer that has been there for a week. We were not disappointed. The hummer made three appearances between 12:40 and 1:20. The rufous sides were clearly visible as the bird hovered around the feeder. Clearly, it is not too late to see this rare visitor to the basin. Bill and Shirley McAneny
