I just saw two meadow larks along Halls Corners Rd just west of Co Rd 142, Town
of Covert, Seneca County. Also saw a Northern Harrier and a Kestrel nearby.

Across from vicinity of 64 Sweazey Rd, Lansing, about 3:30 pm, I saw 3 E.
MEADOWLARKS & 3 N. FLICKERS (2 female, 1 male), along with 2 A. ROBINS (pair),
foraging in the open grass where the sun had melted the snow!
I had 23 species at my bird food/feeders on snowy Monday, yesterday, with a
coup
I had two Eastern Meadowlarks singing along Burdick Hill Road around 9 am this
morning. One perched high in tree. The other I could not see. South side of the
road, about one third of the way down the road from Triphammer Rd.

After checking daily over the course of a week, I finally observed my first two
Eastern Meadowlarks of the season flying and roosting along either side of Lake
Rd near the Long Point Winery , west of Rt. 90 near Aurora. Also earlier this
week (Monday) I heard and observed my first pair of House
A month or so ago, there was a question relating to E. MEADOWLARK breeding.
Today I saw 2 meadowlark fledglings in a field in Freeville. They are most
likely the second brood. The timing is the same as my Yard ROBINS, for
their second brood. For reference, on July 18, I noted 1-2 advanced

Also in the fields across from the SPCA on Hanshaw road in the town of Dryden,
NY You can pull in on the dirt road that goes in to that field where they
walk the dogs.

I have heard & seen E. MEADOWLARKS along Cherry and Snyder roads on the north
side of the Ithaca/Tompkins Co. airport as recently as yesterday afternoon

Several pairs of Eastern Meadowlarks were active in the fields on the
north side of Lake Rd. near Rt.90; approximtely 150 yards west of Long
Point Winery yesterday evening. One pair of Meadowlarks had been seen in
the same fields for approximately two weeks. Also our pair of resident

I just counted 9 E. MEADOWLARKS in an open field in Brooktondale. I think a
lot of early ones go unnoticed unless they stand up or perch and sing.
These were low to the ground, foraging, and the yellow rarely showed.
