I spent a half hour at Myers this morning just after the rain began. As I had hoped, there were a few good birds on the spit: 8 Bonaparte's Gulls (still mainly in winter plumage) and a single Forster's Tern (molting: dark cap coming in, still with white forehead; dark orange bill w/black tip; bright white primary feathers - seen both at rest and in flight; no trace of dark carpal bar - to help rule out Common Tern).

An Osprey was perched on a snag across the creek (Salt Point), and several dozen Tree, a few N Rough-winged , and a single Barn Swallow adorned the dripping branches of a creekside willow.
