The New York State Ornithological Association (NYSOA) is offering a field trip to the Intervale Lowlands Preserve in Lake Placid in the Adirondacks on the weekend of 16-17 May 2015. The weekend will start with an optional bird walk at Bloomingdale Bog on 16 May, and that afternoon Larry Master will give a presentation on the history and natural history of the Intervale Lowland Preserve. The main event will be a bird walk at the preserve on 17 May, where we hope to see Black-backed Woodpecker, Lincoln’s Sparrow, and many of the 17 species of warbler that breed here. Visit the NYSOA web site (www.nybirds.org <http://www.nybirds.org/>) for more information including instructions about how to register for the trip.
