This evening I drove around behind the Ithaca airport in hopes of seeing COMMON NIGHTHAWK -- between 8:50 and 9 PM I observed at least 3 calling and feeding birds over the ponds on Neimi Road. Success!
Back at home today, a singing EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE, and still 1 singing BLACKPOLL WARBLER, along with a female BLACKPOLL moving with a family of chickadees, and probably the same female AMERICAN REDSTART as yesterday.
