On my way home just now I saw an OSPREY in a dead snag in the pond along Rt.
38 south of Dryden just north of Crystal Drive.

The COMMON TEAL was still at George Road this morning.  I will have to check
again tomorrow when the bird might be closer, but it was my impression I
could make out just the shadow of vertical white bar on the shoulder,
indicating this bird might by an intergrade between the two subspecies,
though it still shows characters of a Eurasian much more than of an
American.  If true, this would also indicate this is a different bird than
the one I found on the 17th that was present until at least the 20th (but
not the 22nd through the 25th), because I took careful note of that bird and
it did not seem to show any such shoulder mark.  I will look into this soon.
