I met Suan at Salt Point after his Pipit post below. He said there were 7 AMERICAN PIPITS according to his heat sensing device/screen, and that they are very hard to see against the dull colored lake-bed rocks on the shore edge. I later saw one on the north side near the point. Never found the others. Then I saw 7 EASTERN BLUEBIRDS which landed near and on a small frozen pond on the north shore lake bed of Salt Point. Neat to see a lovely bright male Bluebird standing on the snow-covered ice!
Also saw N. CARDINAL, RED BELLIED WOODPECKER, 3 BLUE JAYS, 4 E. STARLINGS, 4 A. CROWS, and several RING BILLED BULLS, along with a group of intrepid, scope-lugging birders across Salmon Creek near the point of Myers Park. Later on Asbury Road near the end of Collins Rd. I saw 2 COMMON RAVENS fooling around way out in a large farm field. One was doing that amusing hopping, following after the other as it walked away. Still struggling to photograph them.
