There was at least one Prairie Warbler at the Baldwin Tract (Park Preserve South) on Irish Settlement Road yesterday (May 3). Heard one singing from private land north of the preserve and later saw one in the pines at the preserve. Also had Magnolia Warbler, Blue-headed Vireo, Black-throated Blue and Black-throated Green Warblers, both kinglets, and a knock-down, bill-clasping fight involving 3 Louisiana Waterthrushes. Must have been prime real estate.
