Dawn at Knox-Marsellus was beautiful and cold.  The marsh was full of birds but 
it was too dark to identify much.  
(An hour later when the first NYSOA trip came through it was almost empty.)
An American Bittern flew over the marsh.
There were 6 or more Sandhill Cranes.

Sandhill Crane     8  They were fun to watch on the close edge of the marsh; 
they were leaping!
